Way heavier science than I will ever understand has taken place in places like this, with who knows how many advances made in our communal knowledge. Hopefully the anti-science movement I sense in certain factions of today’s politics some day realizes that theoretical science doesn’t always remain in the theoretical realm.

Oh, and that the word theory means different things in different contexts… ;)
