Generation X is tired.
It’s a parent now, and there’s always so damn much to do. Generation X wishes it had better health insurance and a deeper savings account. It wonders where its 30s went. It wonders if it still has time to catch up.
Fire!
Exciting evening at the Oelkers farmstead - our very own wildfire. Lynn called me around 3ish to let me know that there was an out of control fire in a field across the road from our little place in the country, and today’s gusty winds blew the embers all over the place. Including the soybean fields surrounding our home! A whole squadron of firefighters were on the place when my wife arrived...
